A PRISONER threw scalding water from a kettle over a fellow inmate, a court heard.
Gary Iles, aged 49, attacked the man in his cell at Dartmoor Prison after complaining the machine was broken.
Victim Robert Taylor told a jury today that he was in "excruciating" pain and was left with scalding to his face and neck.
Iles has pleaded not guilty to assaulting Taylor at the Princetown jail on July 22 last year.
