Armed Forces personnel could take to the streets of Plymouth in the event of a terrorist attack, according to a top secret plan revealed this weekend.
A major terrorist attack would trigger the deployment of 5,000 soldiers to protect key sites such as Devonport Naval Base.
The plan, codenamed Operation Temperer, would see the mass deployment of armed forces personnel alongside armed police officers.

Two men arrested by national unit in Plymouth loan shark probe
Two men have been arrested in Plymouth in connection with illegal money lending.
The England Illegal Money Lending Team ios now appealing for information to help with teh investigation into loan sharks in the city.
The national unity is working with with Plymouth City Council on the case.

A MAN is to appear at Crown court later this year charged with burgling homes in Stonehouse and attacking a homeowner.
Andrew Clarke, of Marlborough Street, Devonport appeared at Plymouth Magistrates Court after being arrested on July 11.

Victim Support still helping Tunisia victims, one month on
ONE month on, Victim Support is still offering help to those who suffered from the Tunisia attack.
