RYAN WILLIAMS showed "absolute cowardice" in attacking unarmed strangers, his barrister told the court.
Paul Dunkels QC said that Williams and Pemberton never set out to kill but their violence escalated as they "relished in the reaction" their aggression provoked.
The barrister said the defendant did set out to cause serious injury – in itself enough to make him guilty of the offence.
