A MAN was caught with cannabis after he was arrested by mistake, a court heard.
But Christopher Pickering avoided going straight to jail despite being in breach of a suspended prison sentence.
The 24-year-old was arrested by as he left the pub by a policeman looking for someone else, Plymouth Crown Court heard.
He immediately confessed that he had a small amount of cannabis.
