A MAN sneaked into a staffroom and stole an iPad from a supermarket.
Peter Smith, aged 47, pleaded guilty before Plymouth magistrates to burglary of the Co-op in Hoegate Street.
He took the tablet computer worth £280 on October 14.
Magistrates ruled that the case was so serious that Smith should be sentenced at Plymouth Crown Court.
Smith, of Francis Street, Stonehouse, was remanded into custody to appear before a judge on November 27.
