A fantasist who claimed he was researching a spy novel when he tried to sell classified documents about nuclear submarines has had his jail term cut by top judges.
Polish factory worker Marcin Andrzej Kostrzewa stole the papers from his neighbour and then offered to sell them to his own country's embassy.
He then met with an undercover agent, posing as an embassy employee, and demanded £50,000 for the documents, which were marked 'restricted'.
