A woman in her 80s in south Devon has been conned into handing over £6,000 to fraudsters who claimed to be police officers.
The woman received a call from a man who said he was with the serious fraud squad at the Metropolitan Police.
He told the woman, who is not being identified, that her bank account was unsafe - she withdrew £6,000 and passed it to him.
