PARENTS and teachers are being warned about the dangers of dogs as the new school term gets under way.
Devon and Cornwall Police have revealed that the number of dog attacks across the force area rose dramatically in the space of a year.
In August 2014 there were six reports of a dog that was dangerously out of control causing injury – in July this year that figure had jumped to 63.
