THE Royal British Legion has slammed thoughtless thieves who made off with a Union Flag outside one of their branches near Plymouth.
But members have been touched after receiving a replacement from the relatives of a Second World War veteran.
The charity hung up the large flag with bunting at their branch in Chings Alley, Launceston as part of celebrations for Victory in Japan Day.
But it was stolen during the night of August 16, after the celebrations.
