Businesses are being warned by police to beware of slick conmen who are scamming shopkeepers at the till.Commonly known as 'ringing the changes' the scam involves a 'customer' confusing a shopkeeper or assistant and leaving with more money than they should have. The usual routine involves asking to change a fairly large sum of money, often into £10 notes.
