A CRACK cocaine addict threatened to stab a van driver with a screwdriver in a bid to hijack his van, a court heard.
Serial thief Thomas O'Neill, aged 41, had earlier brandished the weapon at a car owner when he stole his brand new bicycle.
O'Neill tried to hijack a passing van as a getaway vehicle but was thwarted when the key broke in the ignition, Plymouth Crown Court heard.
