A MAN has appeared in court accused of attempting to rape and indecently assaulting a girl more than 20 years ago.
Phillip Hartill, aged 55, faced Plymouth magistrates to answer five charges.
He allegedly attempted to rape a girl aged under 16 between December 1990 and November 1993.
Hartill, of Langley Crescent, Southway, also faces four counts of indecently assaulting the same girl between 1987 and 1993.
