A MUGGER dragged a woman into a dark alleyway at night – putting her in fear of what a judge called her "worst nightmare".
Wayne Ansell, aged 33, grabbed the student by the waist, placed his hand over her mouth and demanded her purse, a court heard.
But she managed to shout "rapist" and her attacker ran away empty-handed.
Recorder Tim Grice said the woman was "absolutely terrified".
He added: "She must have been worried that her worst nightmares were about to be fulfilled."
