A CORRODED bomb washed up on a Devon beach has been taken away by explosives experts from Plymouth.
The 'suspicious device' was found on Teignmouth beach in South Devon yesterday.
Police and coastguard teams were called to the Point Car Park area at around 2pm after what was described as a corroded mortar device washed up.
A 300 metre cordon around the area was put in place while the Royal Naval ordnance disposal team from Devonport Naval Base arrived.
