A MAN who had sex with a woman on her doorstep said he made "a stupid drunken mistake", a rape trial heard.
But Alan Seager, aged 28, told police the sex was consensual and he had not taken advantage of her after a night out.
Seager is on trial after pleading not guilty to rape between November 23 and November 26, 2012.
The jury was read a transcript of the interview Seager gave police in July 2014, three months after the woman made her complaint.
