A PLYMOUTH pensioner has been cleared of raping a mentally ill woman.
Fred Tolcher, aged 71, had been accused of forcing himself upon a female friend and raping her at her home.
The complainant, who suffers from a range of mental health problems, claimed she asked Mr Tolcher, of Fore Street, Plympton, to stop and tried to fight him off but he touched her indecently and raped her during the single incident on February 9, 2013.
