POLICE say the incident in Whitleigh which tonight resulted in armed officers and the police helicopter being deployed was because a member of the public claimed they had seen a person holding a speargun.
Officers were in the area of Budshead Road at the time dealing with a road traffic collision between a motorbike and a car when they were alerted to the possible armed individual.
