POLICE say they are "aware" of allegations regarding the attempted theft of dogs in the Plymouth and South Hams area.
Rumour have recently begun circulating on social media sites claiming a dog-napping gang were roaming the region in a silver VW Transporter van.
However, police have confirmed they have yet to receive reports of a theft of a dog, but they have revealed they are making inquiries into other matters which may be related to a similar looking vehicle.
