A CONVICTED killer threw scalding water from a kettle over a fellow inmate, a court heard.
Gary Iles, aged 49, jailed for life for stabbing his mother, attacked the man in his cell at Dartmoor Prison.
Victim Robert Taylor told a jury that he was in "excruciating" pain and was left with burns to his face and neck.
Iles pleaded not guilty to assaulting Mr Taylor at the Princetown jail on July 22 last year.
