A MAN has been cleared of assaulting and knocking out a drunken stranger outside a pub.
Jack Holder, aged 20, was acquitted by a jury of attacking the man in the early hours.
Mr Holder admitted punching Tom Manix to the ground outside the Lord Louis in Plympton.
But he told his trial at Plymouth Crown Court that he acted in self-defence.
Mr Holder, of George Avenue in Plympton, denied assault causing actual bodily harm.
It took less than an hour for the jury to unanimously acquit him.
