A HOMELESS man who walked along Union Street brandishing an imitation gun told a jury he was playing "Cowboys and Indians".
Rhodes Spicer produced a BB gun at the Clipper Inn pub on May 16 before walking outside and pointing it at a shop front and an empty car.
The 45-year-old told jurors at Plymouth Crown Court it was "stupidly irresponsible" and "a cry for help".
He was found guilty of possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and jailed for 10 months.
