POLICE believe a gang of shoplifters who claim not to speak English have recently been targeting Tavistock's supermarkets.
A man was seen to load hundreds of pounds worth of goods into a trolley at the Morrison's store on August 25 and attempted to leave without paying for the goods.
When he was challenged by staff he made out he did not speak English and ran off towards the corner of the car park near the Lidl store.
