A COURT has ordered owners of a much vandalised Hoe hotel to pay more than £2,000 for failing to secure or tidy the tatty building.
Describing the Quality Hotel as an "eyesore" magistrates told the legal representative of Tamar Properties (Canterbury) Ltd the company's decision to fail to renew the security of the site led to it becoming a target for vandals, arsonists and rough sleepers, which in turn had caused "distress" to nearby residents.
