TAVISTOCK police are warning motorists to not leave valuable goods on show in their cars after a series of break-ins.
Police said the thefts "traditionally" take place on Dartmoor but this year thieves appear to be venturing into Tavistock and surrounding villages.
The latest theft took place between 5.45pm and 6pm on September 3 when a Peugeot was broken into at an isolated spot in Grenofen, near Tavistock.
Police say the driver's window was smashed and a wallet and contents stolen.
