A HOMELESS heroin addict who burgled two bars and a shop in the space of a week has avoided going straight to prison.
Serial burglar Daniel Fry, aged 31, sneaked into businesses to snatch valuables after relapsing into using the drug, a court heard.
He caused distress and inconvenience by stealing mobile phones and documents such as a passport and driving licence.
But a judge told him it was in the public interest to suspend his prison sentence so his drug habit could be tackled.
