A man has been detained after barricading himself in a house with a child.Police surrounded the property in Porthmellon Gardens, Callington, from about 10am on Sunday after reports that the man was armed with a weapon.Residents were urged to stay inside for their own safety while negotiators spoke to the man, reports Cornwall Live.After more than three hours the man, thought to be 27, came out of the house at about 1.40pm and the child was handed over to relatives.A police spokesman said:...
