A CONVICT and a woman have appeared at court charged with attempting to smuggle heroin and heroin substitute into Dartmoor prison.
Wilson Mirembe, who now resides at HMP Guys Marsh in Dorset and Cindy Needham, of Bristol, face a joint charge of conspiracy to bring 302 milligrams of class A heroin and seven class C Subutex tablets into HMP Dartmoor on March 17 this year.
Mirembe, aged 35, was a inmate at the aging prison at the time of the offence, while Needham, aged 33, was his visitor....
