A MASKED knifeman has been jailed for robbing a store – later blaming a stranger who had stolen his clothes.
Career criminal Mark Symes has been locked up for seven years after a jury saw through his far-fetched lies.
Symes, aged 33, was caught on camera hours before stealing from a nearby shop in identical clothes to the robber.
Taking to the stand in his trial at Plymouth Crown Court, Symes claimed he had changed out of the clothes he wore while stealing from the shop.
