WATCH ABOVE: Police explain how quickly a dog can die in a hot car
Devon and Cornwall Police have had more than 40 reports of dogs being left in hot cars in just three days.
Popular PCSO Kirsty Down tweeted the message alerting people to the incidents.
She called for dog owners to think before they leave their beloved pets in boiling cars, adding, "would you leave your dog to die?"
