Armed response officers have been scouring the city centre tonight after a masked man wielding a machete robbed a convenience store.
The man, described as wearing a balaclava and dressed in black, is understood to have entered the Premier store at around 7.45pm.
The robber threatened the lone male worker and escaped with a quantity of cash from the till.
