A man strangled his ex-partner so she struggled to breathe and threatened to kill her, a jury has ruled.Thomas Hughes, aged 29, attacked the woman in bed after they woke in the early hours, a court heard.Hughes punched her in the face, leaving her bruised and swollen. She told Plymouth Crown Court: "He tried to murder me, I have had nightmares about it every single night".The defendant, of Waterloo Close, Stonehouse, denied assault causing actual bodily harm on November 12 last year....
