Police were forced to close a busy rush-hour rat run road in a bizarre stand-off between a lorry driver and 60 queuing motorists - which has triggered tailbacks on several busy routes this morning.
A flatbed lorry carrying a digger had reportedly faced off with dozens of motorists on the single-track Blunts Lane, between Derriford and Forder Valley Road.
Police were called amid reports that up to 60 vehicles were queuing in the Derriford direction.
