A banned driver was dramatically stopped in his car by police as he threatened to speed on to a busy city street, a court heard.
Uninsured Connor Symons, aged 25, crashed into a patrol vehicle which deliberately blocked his path to stop him racing on to Mutley Plain.
Officers had tracked Symons over about three kilometres but he sped away when he realised he had been spotted, Plymouth Crown Court heard.
