An investigation has begun after five fox cubs were found 'mauled' in a woodland in Devon.
Police believe the foxes may have been killed earlier this month in Ausewell Woods, near Ashburton, by hunters with who were with another animal.
A police spokesman said: "We are investigating this as an illegal act under the Hunting Act 2004 which states it is illegal to hunt a wild mammal with dogs.
"On Sunday, January 8, five fox cubs were found dead in the woods appearing to have been mauled...
