A volunteer worker stole almost £500 from a St Luke's Hospice charity shop in a "mean" and "sneaky" theft – enough to fund a patient's bed for a night.Mum Gemma McCaffrey, aged 34, was trusted to bank the daily proceeds but instead simply took the money, Plymouth Crown Court heard.She pilfered sums adding up to £474 on five occasions from the Honicknowle shop while the manager was on holiday.Judge Paul Darlow branded the thefts "particularly mean"...
