A motorist has spoken of the moment his life flashed before his eyes after a mattress in the middle of a 70mph road sent his car crashing into a central reservation.
Steven Hookway, aged 46, was
sent flying across the A38 yesterday, Tuesday, evening after swerving to avoid a mattress.
The accounts manager was travelling on the road between Manadon roundabout and the St Budeaux junction just before 5pm when disaster struck.
