A MAN claimed his partner had cancer to avoid paying back a loan of thousands of pounds, a court heard.
Stephen Davey, aged 43, is being tried at Plymouth Crown Court in his absence, on ten charges of fraud committed in Plymouth between June 2011 and December 2012.
