A PROLIFIC offender has avoided going straight to jail for punching a man so hard that he fell to the ground and broke his leg.
Chronic heroin addict Russell Saunders, aged 37, lashed out in an unprovoked attack as a row flared into violence at a soup kitchen, Plymouth Crown Court heard.
Saunders, wearing a beret, was caught on CCTV footage in the city centre swinging a punch which floored Justin Grant.
