An accounts secretary who betrayed the trust and friendship of her boss by taking £16,000 from the company has avoided jail after vowing to repay the cash.
Lorraine Parr, aged 57, faked invoices and inflated wages in the books at the small engineering firm – and then paid the money into her own bank account.
Her deceit at Camtec, in Plympton, which went on for nearly seven years, was only uncovered when she fell ill, Plymouth Crown Court heard.
