Ten "killer clown" incidents – including five in Plymouth – were reported to Devon and Cornwall Police in the space of just three days, it has emerged.
Officers have been called to a string of incidents where pranksters or criminals dressed as clowns try to scare innocent bystanders.
Devon and Cornwall Police said it was treating the reports seriously. A spokesman confirmed that between Thursday and Saturday it had recorded incidents at:
