A SENIOR firefighter has issued a stark warning about the danger of derelict buildings, saying vandals and arsonists are putting themselves and the emergency services at risk.
In the last week city crews have fought blazes at an old paper factory in Southway and the run-down Quality Hotel on the Hoe, committing huge resources in order to keep the public safe.
