A MOTORIST has denied trying to dodge prosecution for speeding by nominating a DEAD man as the driver.
Andrew Evans, aged 48, allegedly claimed that Ben Hughes was at the wheel of a car which activated a safety camera – but police say he had passed away.
Evans appeared at Plymouth Crown Court charged with perverting the course of justice in April and May of last year.
Appearing unrepresented, he pleaded not guilty to the single charge.
