A HERO sailor stopped his car to tackle a man after he saw him walking into a Plymouth petrol station holding a gun.
The Senior Rating from a Plymouth-based warship, who doesn't want to be named, ambushed the man after he saw him approaching a petrol station with a pistol in his hand.
The incident happened at around 1.10pm on Friday on Staddiscombe Road, in Plymstock.
