A SHAMELESS heroin addict burgled a church – even using a valuable silver cross to try and force open a door.
Career criminal Trevor Easby, who admitted he was "out of control", then got stuck on a balcony and was forced to climb down a light fitting, a court heard.
Easby, aged 33, stole about £50 in cash and caused damage which cost hundreds of pounds to put right in the church in Torpoint.
