A COURT has thrown out a bid by the owners of the city's "million-pound slum" to put off work on their derelict and dangerous home.
A judge ruled that Nigel Healy and Karen Chan were "time-wasting" when they appealed against a conviction for failing to refurbish the prominent building in Grand Parade, the Hoe.
Recorder Douglas Tait, sitting at Plymouth Crown Court with two magistrates, dismissed the appeal after the couple failed to attend court.
